Over the past few weeks, we have been reading different types of stories, acting out stories, looking at characters, and finding new and exciting ways to tell a story.
The children have come up with many ideas about telling stories such as with the use of 3d as well as ice skating. They have also discovered that dressing up is a great way to tell a story. In this picture, the boys have dressed up to tell the story of the 'little girl that could' , a story they made up about a girl (Maxy) who would try new things - she met many friends along the way. Henry is playing the dentist, Kaden the builder, Jakob the baker and Noam the fairy. They delighted the rest of the class with their story... along with myself!
In the coming weeks, the children will work with a friend to create their own story... they will be using masks, puppets and IPad's to tell their story rather than creating a book. We have been brainstorming today in pairs about the storyline and characters. The children worked well together, listening and talking about their ideas. I am very much looking forward to their completed stories as I have had a sneak peek today.
